Fundamental physics

Fundamental physics

There is a long standing tradition in Trento for fundamental physics studies related to the INFN activities. TIFPA incorporated the groups taking part in all such research activities, providing a new development perspective. A list of the TIFPA experiments and groups involved in fundamental physics activities is provided below.

Particle Physics

Research activities aimed at understanding the basic building blocks of matter and their mutual interactions, based on experiments in particle accelerators.

ATLAS
ATLAS-RD_FASE2

Astroparticle Physics

Observational studies of cosmic radiation and particles, including the most elusive neutrino and the yet unknown dark matter and energy, using detectors in space, on the ground or on deep seabeds.
