The 4D-LETytBE project proposed by Elettra V. Bellinzona on behalf of a TIFPA and INFN-Roma3 team is one of the winners of the INFN Youth Grant of Commission V.

The 4D-LETytBE, A 4D Phantom for radiation quality characterization in ion therapy project has been selected and funded after a national public competition among 70 projects
by the INFN National Scientific Commission V to support the work of excellence of "young researchers in the field of lines of research and technological development of the Entity ".

The project aims to develop an innovative anthropomorphic irradiation phantom with respiratory stop-motion to characterize, for the first time, the linear energy transfer (LET)
spectrum and lineal energy distribution, f (y) to evaluate radiation quality variation during organ motion and its impact on normal tissue complication probability (NTCP) and tumor
control probability (TCP) models.
